About

Hello, my name is Mandisa Pittmon, and I am a married mother of three teenage children. I understand both the joys and challenges of parenting and relationships. Originally from Southern California, I have been happily residing in Sacramento, CA, since 2012.

After graduating from California State University, Fullerton, I began working with foster youth in group home settings for eight years. During this time, I also worked in nonprofit community outpatient clinics, which enhanced my understanding of the diverse needs of families and children from various cultures and backgrounds. These experiences led me to pursue a master's degree (MA), which I earned in 2011 from National University.

My desire to better serve individuals and families guided me toward a career in marriage and family therapy. Subsequently, I received additional training in Applied Behavior Analysis, enabling me to assist children on the autism spectrum and those with other disabilities across various school districts.

My passion lies in working with children, couples, families, teenagers, and parents. I employ a range of therapeutic modalities tailored to each client's unique needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Incredible Years, ACT therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I believe that understanding an individual's or family's needs, culture, history, and goals is crucial to the therapeutic relationship and achieving desired outcomes.

I am eager to embark on the therapeutic journey with you to uncover the inner light that can guide us toward improved relationships and a more fulfilling life.
