I use an eclectic mix of therapeutic modalities, mostly behavioral models such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), weaving in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Psychodynamic concepts and interventions to collaboratively develop a plan that works for you.
Individual counseling allows us to work collaboratively to understand challenges, increase knowledge of self and develop more helpful ways to manage life.
In couples counseling we work together using IMAGO, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) modalities to foster connections through communication and understanding.
In Parenting support sessions, we use (CBT), Incredible years, Applied behavioral analysis (ABA) techniques, concepts and strategies with the goal of developing a consciousness/awareness of the parenting process as well as increasing efficacy of parenting skills with the plan of strengthening the relationship with your children.
With Adolescent therapy we are utilizing (CBT) and (DBT) to increase interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation and mindfulness skills to assist with managing developmental growing pains.
In children’s therapy we utilize ABA, play therapy and CBT interventions, concepts and strategies to increase your child’s emotional intelligence, emotional regulation skills and healthy behaviors.
*With children and adolescents sessions will alternate between individual and conjoint (with you and your child).
Family counseling includes the entire family working on strengthening bonds and trust through more effective communication.
